Hello!
This is my own personal web site. I doubt it's very interesting to you, unless you already know who I am, but you are welcome to look around...

Baby pictures unearthed! (19980711)
I went home to my folks' place two months ago and they had managed to unearth a big collection of pictures!
 |
Jin-chan (Baby Joe) eating curry
My penchant for food is clearly documented even in my early days! |
 |
Jin-chan and Pa
That's my dad on the right. It's sooo strange to see a picture of my dad when he was younger than I am today. |
Trip to Mt. Diablo/Castlerock (19980400)
Back in April, I went on a great trail-riding trip near Mt. Diablo (Walnut Creek). It has been a while since I've gotten away from the city, and I've forgotten how wonderful it is to get out in the open world! The sights were absolutely fabulous. It was a lot of fun riding on the trails that are still used today by cattlemen of Contra Costa. Also, as a result of talking to the owner, I've webmastered their site and designed their four-color-separated brochure.

Ruby and me
I rode the horse named Ruby. Alas, there's no good picture of me, per-se, from the trip. Oh well. |
  |
The Great Outdoors
The best thing about the whole trip was just being able to get away from the concrete jungle and actually feel at ease -- I could actually breathe! |
  |
Traffic Jam
Of course, since this was a simple little excursion, I went with a bunch of other people -- and so it's not the same as being out aalone in the great plains; but it was still fun.
My friend Mark (upper photo) went as well. The neat thing about this trip was that the trails are still used by cattle ranchers. You can just barely makeout the cattle in the background (lower photo). |
Rita & Shashank's Valentine Wedding (19980214)
If you didn't make it to their wedding, you can see the wedding pictures (and commentary) online. Here are a few selected ones:

 |
Rita and Shashank
Married on February 14, 1998. |
 |
Elaborate hand painting
Part of the bride's preparation involved the painting of very intricate artwork on her hands. A process that took many many hours! |
Trip to Europe (19950700)
 |
Lillies at The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, London.
Kew Gardens contain an amazing array of exotic plants gathered from all corners of the British Empire. There were lots of beautiful plants too. There is comprehensive data and pictures about this botanical super-library at The Royal Botanical Garden - Kew Gardens site. |
 |
City of Stockholm, Sweden.
A very beautiful city. If I revisit Europe, this would be my first stop. In this picture, you can see the various colored buildings, with red bricks, orange exteriors, patinae-green roofs, and so so... Find out more on the Stockholm-1998 Page. |
 |
The Warship Wasa.
It was meant to be the greatest, invincible ship of its time. A chain of tragic errors doomed it on its maiden voyage. And, it predates the Titanic by several hundred years. You can learn more about this warship at the official Wasa Museum web site. |

Hosted on Concentric Networks. Why pay the extra $10-$20/month for Concentric (as compared to other national low-cost providers)? Because that price includes: a PPP dial-up account, multiple mailboxes, twice-daily file snapshots and daily backups to tape, 24x7 operator support, and redundant connections and hardware. |
